Abstract
Background and Objective: The aim of the present study was to structurally model the effect of perceived moral competence on spiritual health with the mediating role of work conscience among elementary school teachers in Zahedan.

research methodology: The research method was a descriptive correlational research method based on the structural equation model. The statistical population consisted of all elementary school teachers in Zahedan with a total of 3000 people. Using the Krejci and Morgan table (1971), the sample size was calculated as 349 people, and the sampling method was simple random. The questionnaires of perceived moral competence of managers by Martin and Ashtin (2010), spiritual health by Polotzine and Ellison (1982), and work conscience by Brick and Manet (1991) were used to collect data. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed based on content validity and reliability based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The analysis of the obtained data was carried out using the structural equation model method and SPSS28 and LISRL8.8 software.

Findings: The findings of the research showed that there is a positive and relatively strong relationship between the perception of moral competence and spiritual health (0.733), a positive and moderate to high relationship between the perception of moral competence and work conscience (0.669), and a positive and moderate relationship between spiritual health and work conscience (0.508). Also, the results of the structural equations showed that teachers' perception of moral competence has a positive and direct effect on spiritual health (0.68), teachers' perception of moral competence on work conscience (0.57), and work conscience on spiritual health (0.49). Also, teachers' perception of moral competence has a significant and indirect effect on spiritual health through work conscience with a coefficient of (0.95).

Conclusion: Therefore, it can be said that work conscience plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived moral competence and teachers' spiritual health. Therefore, it is suggested that education professionals pay special attention to strengthening work conscience.
