Abstract
To explain the purposeful behavior that takes place during a long period of life, especially during education, the concept of education itself is used. Wherever an experience is compatible with the students' view of themselves, the effects of that experience are used, but when the experience does not match with the person's self-concept, and the effects of the experience become disturbing and unbearable for the person, he withdraws. Based on this, the purpose of the research was determined to investigate the effect of academic self-concept on students' academic attitude. The present research method is practical in terms of purpose; And by its nature, it is descriptive-survey of correlation type. The statistical population of the present study consists of all 10th grade male students of Saravan city who study mathematics, and their number is 110. The sample size was 86 randomly selected using Morgan's table. The research tools are two questionnaires of academic self-concept and academic attitude. The reliability of the questionnaire was obtained through Cronbach's alpha for academic self-concept of 0.76 and academic attitude of 0.83. In order to analyze the data, inferential statistics such as Pearson's correlation coefficient test and regression with SPSS 20 software were used. The results showed that self-concept of education has an effect on students' academic attitude
