The effect of citizenship skills training on the attitude towards social and behavioral harms of secondary school girl students

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to explain the effect of citizenship skills training on the attitude of first secondary school girls towards social harms. The method of conducting this research was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the present study was female students of the first year of high school in Shiraz in the academic year of 2023-2024. Using a random cluster sampling method, two classes of the same grade from the same school (one of the classes as the experimental group and the other as the control group) were selected from the girls' first secondary schools of education in Se Shiraz district. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect information, which covers components such as aggression, suicide, sexual issues, drugs, theft and running away from home. The content validity of the questionnaire was obtained and confirmed based on the opinion of experts in the field of psychology and its reliability according to Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The collected data were analyzed by covariance analysis. The findings showed that the training of citizenship skills based on the compiled educational package had an effect on the attitude of female students of the first year of high school towards social harm and its components, including theft, aggression, drugs, suicide and running away from home, but it had little effect on The target group has no attitude towards sexual issues.
